Opportunities for Artists
Hermana
Hermana is a partnership between artists affiliated with Transform Arts and Reintegra. Artists partner with Reintegra’s work on the ground to provide art healing and trauma-informed care to the women sponsored through Reintegra. A group of Transform's dancers visit Mexico City biennially serving survivors of human trafficking with dance, movement healing, and trauma informed care.Hermana formally began the summer of 2021 when the dancers were not able to return due to the Covid pandemic. Francesca Cipponeri gathered artists from the Bay Area to put together an art show sharing the testimonies of women in Reintegra.
A couple of artists that participated in the art show traveled to Mexico City the summer of 2023 to give the Reintegra women an art retreat to use art as a form of healing and self reflection. Now artists are invited to join in these trips to support and care for these women as they continue to heal and reintegrate in their communities. Together, we can better serve and love the women of Reintegra as they seek restoration in their lives with regular rhythms of finding wholeness and healing.
France Art and Faith
Pursuing integration of art history and faith through unique bridges in France.
Transform is partnering with creatives from Palm Beach Atlantic University* for a week of art history and outreach. The second annual trip will be this March 2024.
We will incorporate experiencing art spaces and art history through a lens of faith and have hands-on taste of art-ministry: bringing hope and healing through beauty and creativity. We will be touring museums, churches, and galleries and will partner with the artists of the Agape Hub who build spaces of beauty and dialogue by creating truth infused provocative art exhibits.
Some of the activities of this trip will include moments of art and spiritual reflection, prayer, sharing food (and art) with those in need, and community building with the artists of Agape hub.
Our vision is to expand our Art and Faith experiences as we build bridges with other artistic communities in France.
*This opportunity is open to students and non-students with a priority given to art majors and minors at Palm Beach Atlantic University applications open in the fall of 2024 for the following spring.
